flip - disability equality in the arts

Applied Equalities Legislation – 5th July 2012, Edinburgh

Edinburgh on Thursday, 5 July 2012

9.30 – 1.30 am

Practical training to inform organisations of the recent developments in relation to equalities legislation and to examine practical cases.

How does the Equality Act 2010 impact on your organisation, its day to day running and future planning?

What cases and precedents have occurred since its introduction and what impact do these have on your legal obligations?

Led by flip this session will demystify changes to legislation and make them applicable to an arts setting. We will look at what has happened since the Equality Act came in to force in 2010, particularly focussing on a number of actual cases and the conclusions that we can draw from these.

Flip will also be able to directly discuss particular issues you face, using their experience to suggest solutions and approaches to practical situations or future planning, allowing you to leave with a grounded understanding of legislation and the skills and confidence to move forward.

This particular session will be useful to people with a more advanced understanding of equalities.
